August 8th, 2014
Princess Amira started a diplomatic summit in Sakhmet to discuss new trade routes. With this the new plot “Desert Diplomacy” started off.


September 24th, 2013
The Spooky Food Eating Contest took place. As TNT describes it, it was a mixture of a Plot and an Event. A “plevent” with many prices.

February 12th, 2013
Something has happened a Mysterious Obelisk appeared. New Books could be obtained by participating in this event..

October 5th, 2013
The new Battledome has opened as BETA. Here you can now win interesting Books, IF you win against these challengers. Each arena features different books as prices.

A new Springy Shop has been opened. Here you will also be able to get some wonderful Springy Books.


October 27th, 2011
An r300 tablet (Armour Catalogue Tablet) is given out for completing all the Masks of Dread quests on the day of their release. It was later changed back to r101.

Krawk Island was destroyed by the Krawken, but once Neopians pieced it back together, they got the opportunity to shoot a cannonball at him daily and take his prizes! (including books)

A new wheel was discovered today. The Wheel of Extravagance, which costs 100,000np per spin, will award a r100 item (Including r100 books) if you land on the space with the picture of a scorchstone.

The Almost Abandoned Attic is disovered as a loyal user perk. Accounts 36 months and older can visit the ghost that resides there who sells items up to r99.

The Faerie Quest Event has started. With these Quests you will help rebuilding Faerieland to it’s old might. This is a yearly event from February 7th-24th.

The Faerie’s Ruin Plot is over, and Faerieland is safely being rebuilt but this time on the ground. For everyone’s efforts, plot points were awarded, and a few books were available as prizes!


October 12th, 2010
The Haunted Faire added a new attraction, Apple Bobbing. By bobbing for apples you can win different items. You also were able to do quests to get treat bags with nice things inside!

For the Six Flags Flags of Fun Competition you had to join one of six teams. By collecting flags, you were able to get different prizes, including new books!

The Wheels in Neopia all needed help, hence TNT called theSave the Wheels event into place. Each amount of NP spent helped save the wheels and gave out different items. The Grand donation total ended up being 12,371,691,860 NP!

During the Tour of Mystery you were able to search for Tarla in different locations around Neopia. TheTour of Mystery also gave out new books!

During the firstFestival of Neggs you were sent on many quests to find items for Kari, and were rewarded with new books!

The Festive Stocking was available in 2009 but broken. It was repaired in June of 2011, and was found to give out The Snow Faeries Promise, and The Spirit of Giving among its prizes.

The Arcanium opened, where you can find some exciting new reading material.

The Atlas of the Ancients Plot starts and introduces during the Plot the new land of Moltara.

The New Game Challenge started, with new games whenever TNT feels like it. This New Game Challenge will be going on for several Years, and might still be.

There is a new shop in town! Make sure you drop by the General Store and check it out for cheap books!


Late 2008
A small Puzzle Adventure console Game was released for the Nintendo DS, Wii and the PC. In the wake of this, also a new Book has been made available.

The Return of Dr. Sloth Plot Prize Shop opened. A many prizes were awarded, with some new books to read for participating.


July 7th, 2007
The Journey to the Lost Isle Plot Prize Shop opened. A few prizes were awarded, with a few new books to read for participating.

The Tale of Woe Plot Prize Shop opened. Several prizes were awarded, with a couple new books to read for participating.


November 23, 2006
The First Annual Games Master Challenge started. A week-long competition that awards many prizes, and exclusive books.

The Neovian Printing Press was opened for all the news you just have to read about.

September 13th, 2006
The Cyodrake’s Gaze plot prizes were awarded a few new books to read.

August 5th, 2006
The very first Altador Cup prizes were awarded, with some new books to read and more to come in the future Cups.


July, 2006
The Altador Cup Staff Tournament gave out books for wagering correct guesses in July of 2011.

March 17th, 2006
The Altador Plot started as a portal opened into Queen Fyora’s chambers.

February 11th, 2006
The very first Daily Dare prizes were awarded, with some new books to read and more to come in the future Dares.

January 30th, 2006
The Lost Desert Plot Prize shop opened, and prizes were awarded, with some new Books to read depending on participation in the plot


November 29, 2005
The Words of Antiquity opened in Qasala. New ancient Tablets and Scrolls have been found that need to be translated for interesting reading!

June 20th, 2005
The Underwater Fishing Cavern was discovered. The first fishing books were found!

March 15th, 2005
The Curse of Maraqua Plot started. Who will win the Battle?!

There is now an Honorary Book Trophy for not only the Neopian Book Awards, but also for the the Booktastic Book Awards!

The Lost Desert Scratchcard Kiosk, is released, with it’s own book prize, if you are lucky.

Coltzan’s Shrine opened up as a daily event. It added 2 books to its random give-away list in July of 2011.

The Tombola has been opened, and it’s giving away a new book.

The first Better than you competition was on this day. It gives out high rarity books as prizes at times.

The first Lenny Conundrum was launched! Correctly solve the riddle, and win an exclusive prize!

Items in people’s shops can now be priced at up to 99,999 NP (was 49,000 NP)!

Books started disappearing when read as of this tragic day. You might not believe it, but books used to stay in your inventory even after they had been read.

The Hidden Tower in Faerieland opened. The first Book from it didn’t get released until March 10th, 2003.

Snowager was first available for plunder. The first book available from him showed up August 29,2009

The first Scratch Card Kiosk on Terror Mountain opened, but the first books from it didn’t get released until June 1st, 2011.

The Igloo Garage Sale opened which sells different items r89 and below for discounted prices.


December 1st, 2000
The first Advent Calendar began. Many books came from it starting in 2002.

October 19th, 2000
The Esophagor and Brain Tree Quests were added to Neopia, with the chance of granting you some new books upon completion!

September 29th, 2000
The Trading Post was launched, so we could exchange items for books!
